We’re excited to open applications for the 2025/26 Eastern European Society Committee! This is your chance to get involved, make a difference, and shape the year ahead for our amazing community. The following roles are now open for nomination:

🔹 President
As President, you’ll lead the committee—organising and chairing meetings, overseeing society activities, offering guidance and direction, and making final decisions. You'll also be responsible for key admin tasks and supporting all members in coordinating events and socials, while fostering a positive and collaborative environment.

🔹 Vice President
The Vice President supports the President in all duties, helps ensure clear communication within the team, steps in during the President’s absence, and works closely with both the Social Secretary and Treasurer to deliver successful events and initiatives.

🔹 Treasurer
Our Treasurer manages the society’s finances—creating and maintaining budgets, preparing financial summaries, and finding cost-effective solutions for society activities. You’ll also support in pricing tickets, handling event funding, and helping keep everything financially sustainable.

🔹 Social Secretary
The Social Secretary brings the fun—planning socials and other engaging events throughout the year. This includes finding and booking venues, coordinating logistics, and working with the rest of the committee to make sure everything runs smoothly and members stay connected.

🔹 Publicity Secretary
The Publicity Secretary is the voice of the society. You’ll manage our social media accounts, keep members informed about events, respond to inquiries, and lead the marketing of everything we do—helping to grow our community and boost engagement.

🔹 Welfare Secretary
This role is all about support and wellbeing. You’ll look after the welfare of society members, promote a healthy and inclusive environment, manage safety-related documentation, and signpost mental health and wellbeing resources when needed.
