We will be rerunning the role of the Freshers' Representative due to an administrative error leading to an unopposed election.
The competition is between Archibald Bunch & Tom Phillips.
Voting will start at 24:00 on Saturday the 30th of November and continue until 24:00 on Monday the 2nd of December.
The Freshers' Representative plays a vital role in ensuring new students have a strong voice within the Exeter University Conservative Association. Acting as a dedicated liaison between first-year students and the committee structure, they actively gather and communicate fresher perspectives to both the main Committee and Executive Committee, ensuring new members' ideas and concerns are properly represented in decision-making processes. They take the lead in encouraging fresher participation at EUCA's social gatherings and major events, helping to build a vibrant and inclusive conservative community on campus. Additionally, they maintain a watchful eye over fresher welfare, working closely with the Welfare & Diversity Secretary to ensure new members receive appropriate support and guidance when needed.
- The Freshers Representative is responsible for liaising with freshers and promoting EUCA to them.
- They shall be responsible for representing freshers to committee & Executive Committee, passing on their views and inputs.
- They shall be responsible for the mobilisation of freshers to social or major events for EUCA.
- They shall have regard for the welfare of freshers, signposting them to the W&D Sec if required.
