Position Information
The Vice-President of Socials plays a vital role in the University of Exeter's Economics Society, acting as a key supporter, communicator, and leader. Here are the main responsibilities of this dynamic position:
- Supportive Role: Aid the Social Secretaries and Welfare Secretary in engaging all members and ensuring the successful delivery of their roles.
- Communication Hub: Serve as the primary link between the committee and the Society's members, and share leadership responsibilities with the other vice-president.
- Presidential Representation: Step in for the President when necessary, providing leadership and guidance to other committee roles.
- Execution of Vision: Implement the President's directions, and facilitate the Society's goals and direction throughout the academic year.
- Collaboration in Management: Assist the President in all aspects of society management, particularly focusing on social events, and be the first in line to stand in for the President.
- Liaison Role: Work closely with the General Secretary, acting as an intermediary between the committee and the President.
- Oversight Duties: Monitor all actions, events, activities, and communications involving committee and Society members.
- Strategic Focus: Ensure that the Society is fulfilling its role and strategy effectively.
- Recruitment Campaign Leader: Oversee the 'recruitment' campaign during freshers’ week, attracting new members to the Society.
