The Social and Welfare Secretary manages the communication between the committee and members, and is involved in ensuring welfare within the society. Their responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Management of social media pages
• Engaging with members at events
• Ensuring inclusivity and safety at all events
• Identifying opportunities for events and helping organise them
• Helping with the completion of tasks related to the Guild (e.g. Risk Assessment forms)

The Social and Welfare Secretary must be outgoing and welcoming, ensuring that all members feel included within the society. This position also requires a collaborative and organised individual who ensures that events are compliant with Guild policies. The role allows you to positively impact members directly by ensuring that they are satisfied with direction of the society and that the society remains an enjoyable environment for all.
