The role of Welfare Secretary and Senior Editor for The Witness involves editing the work of contributors (Junior and Senior Editors, guest writers, etc.) while also crafting your own original articles. Additionally, the position involves working with the rest committee to ensure the smooth operation of The Witness. As Welfare Secretary, they are the main point of contact for members concerning welfare and wellbeing matters, meaning they must be capable of addressing inquiries and providing assistance as needed, to ensure the society is as supportive and inclusive as it can be.
