The Welfare Secretary and Senior Editor is responsible for cultivating a safe, inclusive, and healthy working environment for all contributors and editors. They also serve as a senior editor, supporting article development and junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a first point of contact for wellbeing concerns and internal disputes
• Ensure all team members feel valued, heard, and supported—especially during stressful editorial cycles
• Promote inclusivity and accessibility across Witness activities and communications
• Coordinate check-ins with team members throughout the term
• Participate in editing and mentoring as part of the senior editorial team
• Assist in editorial and contributor training sessions, ensuring respectful editing and inclusive language
