The Treasurer manages the Society’s finances and ensures financial transparency throughout the year. Responsibilities include preparing an annual budget, approving expenditure, and maintaining records in line with Guild policies. The Treasurer works with the President to sign off financial forms and must be confident in overseeing event budgets, managing reimbursements, and exploring sponsorship opportunities when appropriate. A good Treasurer is methodical, reliable, and comfortable with numbers—but also sees budgeting as a way to enable exciting activities and keep membership accessible.
