As the head of the Society, the President provides strategic direction and ensures all activities reflect the Society’s aims and values. They chair all committee meetings, the Annual General Meeting (AGM), and any Extraordinary General Meetings (EGMs). The President acts as the main liaison with the Students’ Guild and external partners, while maintaining oversight over the Society’s operations. They are responsible for signing off on financial forms and leading key initiatives such as collaborations, high-profile events, and long-term planning. The role requires leadership, diplomacy, and a commitment to inclusivity. Above all, the President sets the tone for the Society and ensures every member feels welcome and heard.
