The role of President and Artistic Director means you will manage the entire society.  You will have control of what shows Shakeco puts on and the events that take place throughout the year, and you will be responsible for every aspect of society.  Running a committee is an amazing opportunity to teach you all about management.  You will have to be incredibly organised because there is always a deadline around the corner.  But this is also a really creative role that enables you to engage with numerous Shakespearean and early modern plays as well as work with talented directors, producers, and casts.  Ultimately, this position enables you to run an entire theatre company!  You will learn so many transferable skills that you can take into the workplace after university.  This is a high-commitment and very rewarding role.  This last year, we have had co-presidents, so you can apply as a pair or on your own.  Please don't hesitate to contact Ellie or Fern if you have any questions about the role!
