The role of year 5 rep in a broad sense involves being a voice for everyone in their final year within MedSoc and the medical school as a whole, in order to ensure that concerns and ideas are brought forwards. This includes being someone who is readily available for students to speak to, providing support to those within the years, and most importantly listening to what they want from their time at medical school and what you can do to help achieve this. Candidates need to be approachable, organised, a friendly face, and overall, just willing to listen and help. This role will involve liaising with the alumni manager to get F1/F2s in for talks, getting involved in sessions designed to prepare you for clinical years, and any other opportunities that arise. You may also be involved in organising the Grad Ball too!
