You will be responsible for representing the interests of all medics sports societies. You will communicate regularly with them to discuss their needs and wants and make sure they receive the required funding and publicity. The role will also entail running MedSoc based sports events, such as football fixtures and sports days. Someone sociable, intuitive and enthusiastic is needed for this role. Sport is the undisputed GOAT of building valuable friendships and has been an opportunity that has been missing in recent years. Following talks in the 2024 academic year, you will likely be responsible for liaising with the Athletic Union if MedSoc clubs are taken under the wing of AU clubs (e.g., Medics Rugby as a subdivision of UoE Rugby). You will need to be comfortable in communication with the sports bookings, workings of sports clubs and tournaments.
