Position Information

As Welfare Secretary, you’ll play a key role in making PPE Society a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive space for all members 🤍

This role is about looking after people, making sure everyone feels heard, supported, and able to enjoy what the society has to offer.

It’s ideal for someone who’s empathetic, approachable, and committed to creating a positive community within PPE 🤝✨

🔑 Key Responsibilities:

  • đź«¶ Promote member wellbeing and inclusivity across all society activities
  • 🤝 Act as a point of contact for members with welfare concerns, signposting to appropriate university support services where needed
  • đź’¬ Work closely with the committee to ensure events are accessible, inclusive, and considerate of different needs
  • đź§  Organise welfare focused initiatives, such as check ins, low pressure socials, or awareness events
  • 📣 Collaborate with Publicity Secretary to share welfare resources and promote a positive, supportive culture
  • 🏛️ Liaise with the Students’ Guild and university services on welfare related matters
