Real Estate Society
Exeter Real Estate Society is now looking for a new group of students, passionate about the real estate industry and supporting peers exploring the available opportunities, to take on the below committee roles for the next academic year (25/26).
Whether you have previously been a member or not, we'd love to invite you to apply to the below roles we have available. This is a great opportunity to build your CV, proving your interest to prospective employers, as well as learning key skills through working in a team, balancing commitments with university work and importantly building your contacts and knowledge of the industry through running events.
Available roles include:
• President - you will be the effective leader of the society, overseeing and supporting fellow committee members with the aim of encouraging the best outcome - must be proactive, organised and an effective communicator. Normally takes responsibility for organising sponsors and partnerships for the society and getting the society off to the best start through successful marketing at the freshers fair. The President will also be responsible for organising elections for hiring new committee.
• Vice President - designed to closely support and work in tandem with the President, taking on additional tasks and supporting throughout. Must be adaptative and willing to take work where needed across the committee.
• Treasurer - manage societies funds using Access, dealing with the Guild to approve reimbursements to allow the society to run events. Effective communicator, with the Guild and wider society to make things possible.
• Marketing Manager - effectivey engaging with members and marketing the society through social media platforms (Facebook, Whatsapp, Instagram and LinkedIn), crucial for increasing the presence of the society and replying to queries from members. Managing further communications such as the newsletter and events posts - being timely and active on socials is essential to ensure everyone gets the most out of the events, requiring an organised and creative individual.
• Event Secretary (x2) - responsible for organising socials and events, working with the Pres/VP/Alumni sec. Need to work closely and timely with the Guild to submit Risk Assessments well in advance of the date, requires taking accountability and chasing Pres/VP to make it happen. Also required to communicate with Treasurer on budgeting etc ahead of time when organising socials.
• Alumni Relations - responsible for reaching out and building relationships with previous Alumni who have ventured into the industry, with a hope form gaining further advice for our members. Requires effective communication skills to support the organistion of events and create the best eternal reputation for the society.
