The President is the leader and main representative of Illuminations. They oversee the group's activities, ensure everything runs smoothly, and support both the creative and administrative sides. Key responsibilities include:

Leadership & Coordination: Chairing meetings, setting goals, and ensuring all members and committee roles are working together effectively.

Communication: Acting as the main point of contact between the group and external bodies (e.g. student union, other societies, venues, Fringe organisers).

Planning & Organisation: Overseeing rehearsals, performances, competitions, and tours (e.g. Edinburgh Fringe), often in collaboration with a Musical Director.

Problem-Solving: Handling any issues within the group, maintaining morale, and making decisions in the best interest of the society.

Representation: Promoting the group publicly and upholding its values and reputation.
