Support & Confidentiality: Being a trusted, approachable person for members to talk to about any concerns—whether personal, group-related, or otherwise.
Promoting Well-being: Encouraging a healthy balance between rehearsals and rest, and checking in on group morale, especially during intense periods (e.g. show week, competitions).
Conflict Resolution: Helping to mediate and resolve any interpersonal issues within the group with care and fairness.
Inclusivity & Accessibility: Ensuring rehearsals, socials, and performances are accessible and welcoming for everyone, and raising any issues with the committee.
Resources & Signposting: Being informed about support services (e.g. university mental health support, safeguarding channels) and directing members to them when needed.
Advocacy: Representing the voice of the members in committee discussions and helping maintain an inclusive, respectful culture.
