The Performance Director focuses on the visual and theatrical elements of the group’s performances. They work closely with the Musical Director to bring the songs to life on stage through movement, staging, and storytelling. Key responsibilities include:
Choreography & Staging: Designing and teaching movement or choreography that enhances each song, suits the tone, and supports vocal performance.
Visual Cohesion: Ensuring the group looks polished and unified on stage (e.g. blocking, formations, facial expression, costume ideas).
Creative Direction: Helping shape the narrative, mood, or theme of setlists and shows, especially for competitions or Fringe runs.
Rehearsal Leadership: Running performance-focused rehearsals and providing feedback to improve stage presence and group energy.
Collaboration: Working with the Musical Director and President to align musical and visual goals for each performance.
Consistency: Helping maintain high performance standards across all gigs, ensuring the group is confident and expressive on stage.
