Responsibilities
Plan weekly or biweekly socials, ensuring a diverse mix of events, including games, relaxed gatherings, and activities involving food and moderate drinking.
Handle event logistics, including risk assessments, venue bookings, and deposit payments.
Organize two major annual socials with larger budgets and broader scope.
Secure high-quality venues, manage event administration, and ensure a well-planned experience, including wine (in alignment with Guild regulations).
Coordinate ticketed events to ensure members receive good value.
Work closely with the Treasurer (budgeting), General Officer (administration), and Student Representatives to execute these events.
Collaborate with the Diversity, Inclusion & Welfare Officer to ensure all members feel included and enjoy a welcoming, discrimination-free environment at socials.
