Election Information

For this election, we are running 6 roles

  • 2x FREPs [fresher only]
  • 2x IV secretaries [fresher only]
  • 1x Chair
  • 1x Tech Officer

FREP and IV sec roles are only available to freshers. Chair and tech officer are available to any year.

  • FREP will include supporting the socials, mondays and fridays teams, getting an all around understanding of debsoc, and representing the needs of freshers to committee. 
  • IV sec will specifically support the mondays team, and will be introduced to running tab, competitions and the running of monday workshops. 
  • Chair will be responsible for contacting friday speakers, handling speakers expenses and transport, and moderating friday debates.
  • Tech Officer will be responsible for ensuring debsoc's technology and equipment is working and returned to storage.

It is highly recommended that you discuss the roles with the current committee to understand the what you will be doing and what skills will be useful.

Election etiquette:

  • Please do not run for more than two roles
  • Do not attack other candidates in your campaign
  • Do not try to use any form of coercion or bullying to sway votes
  • Do not spend money on your campaign
  • Do not run for a role that you cannot commit to
