• Ensure all members feel included and engaged at society events, particularly socials, by promoting an accessible and welcoming environment.
• Support the Social Secretaries in organising inclusive social events.
• Oversee and support welfare-focused charity initiatives and events.
• Run drop-in welfare sessions to provide members with a safe space for discussions, support, and signposting to relevant university services.
• Contribute to the members’ newsletter on welfare topics, ensuring members stay informed about available support.
• Collect feedback from members regarding their experience within the society and propose improvements to enhance engagement and inclusivity.
Skills required to succeed in the role
• Interpersonal & Communication Skills – Ability to engage with members and create an inclusive community.
• Empathy & Emotional Intelligence – Strong awareness of welfare issues and student well-being.
• Event Support & Coordination – Experience in assisting with social and welfare-focused events.
• Problem-Solving & Conflict Resolution – Ability to address member concerns and create solutions.
• Organisation & Initiative – Ability to implement new ideas to enhance member engagement.
