COMPETITION TEAM COORDINATOR

As Competition Team Coordinator, you are responsible for organising every aspect of the Competition Team, from the auditions at the beginning of the year right up to the competitions themselves. One of the first things you’ll have to do is decide what competitions the team will be attending and contact the relevant universities, keeping up with their deadlines. At the beginning of the year, you will organise the auditions weekend and work with the coaches and President to choose the final team. Throughout the year, there is a lot of involvement with the Treasurer, working together to book the hotels and transportation for the competitions. You will also need to organise some fundraising activities (alongside the Performance Team Coordinator) to raise money for the team!

This role requires good organisation and time management skills - it is a very active role throughout the year. You also need to be comfortable with coordinating a large team of dancers and making sure you get them safely there and back. It is advisable that you have been in the Competition Team previously if you are running for this position, so that you know what to expect and are familiar with dance competitions.
