The welfare secretary is there to ensure that EUAct continues to be a safe space for all members. 

Key responsibilities include supporting committee and society members with any welfare concerns they might have by providing an empathetic listening ear. The welfare secretary also signposts to support resources that the Guild and University provide. They ensure that sessions and socials are accessible, inclusive, and friendly.

No prior experience is necessary; if you are a reliable and friendly face, this might be the role for you! Signposting resources will be provided in a document, so you don’t have to know everything about every support service to exist either, just a calming presence and desire to support people is enough!
