The director of ExCode is the individual tasked with planning, organising and teaching ExCode. First and foremost, their role is to plan the programme, which is a free coding bootcamp which is open to all students as it is aimed towards beginners. This person communicates with the president to develop a plan and build custom content for the lessons. They must also communicate with relevant members of the committee to decide on marketing strategy and outreach for the event. They must also recruit workshop leaders prior to the start of the programme, who will teach attendees in a workshop environment. Of course, the Director of ExCode must be a technically proficient individual as they will be customising the teaching content and giving weekly lectures to the ExCode cohort. This role is independent of the others due to amount of work needed to complete it to a good level. After ExCode, they will aid other core team members with their projects, providing valuable insight into how to run academic events.
