The Education Secretaries help keep MedSoc’s academic side engaging, supportive, and well-organised. They coordinate a range of teaching opportunities, from arranging Year 1 end-of-block revision sessions and inviting junior doctors to deliver teaching, to organising AMK sessions that help students strengthen their core knowledge. They also support members working towards AFHEA, collaborate with other educational societies to create more learning opportunities, and help organise mock OSCEs so students can practise clinical skills in a supportive environment. Alongside this, they keep members updated with a weekly Sunday message about upcoming teaching and opportunities, support initiatives like Medic Families that help build a welcoming community within MedSoc, and even help organise the annual Medic Wedding at the end of the year — a fun tradition that brings everyone together to celebrate the medic community.
