Another new role to MedSoc, the EDI rep will be a central part of society organisation. The EDI rep should be an advocate for inclusion (in all aspects of uni life) who help ensure our decisions, events, and policies are inclusive, accessible, and fair for everyone - monitoring accountability. They will bring a critical perspective to discussions, advocate for underrepresented voices, and support the development of more equitable practices.. They will help suggest improvements to current MedSoc events and help organise new and exciting initiatives. One thing we would love to see is helping the social secs organise more events not focussed towards drinking. But most importantly, the EDI rep will be a friendly face who members feel happy to contact with suggestions, concerns or feedback! Beyond that, you can shape the role how you want! This is a great opportunity for someone who cares about creating positive change and wants to make a meaningful impact within a collaborative team.
