Often the unsung hero, the role of vice-president is equally as important as president, and should be again a role of responsibility, organisation, and delegation. It is often best to split the workload between two, and you will be invaluable in ensuring the smooth running of the society. The role of vice-president requires creativity, good administration, a good knowledge of the guild’s processes and workings, an eagerness to help students, and the ability to manage and delegate activity planning amongst the committee. A vice-president should be a confident speaker, and work in conjunction with members of the HLS faculty. They are also responsible for all society risk assessments.
