The General Sec (often known as Gen Sec in other societies) is a new role that will help with the logistical operations of MedSoc. Somewhat similar to the VP, the role will involved taking ownership of and leading certain MedSoc initiative and events to help spread workload. We have suggested the above areas but this can be really up to you and the new committee to shape what this looks like. The Gen Sec will also play a key role in decision making and feedback alongside the President, Treasuer and VP. The role of Gen Sec requires good administration, creativity, organisation, a good knowledge of the MedSoc workings, a desire to help students, and the ability to manage and delegate activity planning amongst the committee.
