As Treasurer of ShakeCo, you are responsible for the financial health of the company. You have to take a balanced approach: ensuring ShakeCo continues to produce memorable student theatre while ensuring a profit is made. The financial health of the company comes first and so someone who is assertive as well as flexible would be ideal. ShakeCO fundraising manager is responsible for supervising the fundraising and events teams for each show. You are responsible for submitting events online to the student’s guild activity system for productions and fundraisers, liaising with each production/creative team about budget (and keeping track of this throughout the process), communicating with venues about cost, and applying for grants. You will also work closely with the Treasurer and fundraising teams to help plan and organise fundraising events, crowdfunders and sponsored events.
