This role involves planning, booking and running events for the society, whether it be general socials, meet-and-greets for the committee or a fundraiser for one of our shows. A big part of this role involves liaising with the show’s fundraising manager in order to deliver a fun event for all, as well as raising funds for the show through different methods such as raffles, auctions, etc. You will be the one in charge of contacting venues and finding a suitable date that attracts a large amount of people and works for the venue. Finally, you will be a friendly face for people at events, making sure that everyone feels comfortable and is having fun, liaising with Welfare when needed to ensure this. Outside of these responsibilities, you will act as a helping hand to the committee, assisting with tasks they may need help with.
