The primary role is helping the president and other committee members manage the society’s relationships with other societies at Exeter and other universities. While we do seek to pursue our own unique social agenda, we believe in the valuable benefits of collaboration with various other societies. This therefore requires, once again, good communication. It would entail helping organise meetings with potential collaborators as well as suggesting ideas to other committee members as to how we may best collaborate with such societies. To iterate, by ‘outreach’ this is a separate role for the two publicity managers, although working alongside these two other members where possible will be appropriate and effective.

Above all, once again, one should be passionate about the discipline of International Relations, and interested in what guest speakers and academic and career contributors have to offer.
