Position Information
The Social Sports Secretary is responsible for organizing fun and inclusive sports events, and organising intramural sports for society members. This requires someone enthusiastic about sports, fitness, and social engagement, with strong organization and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organise which sports team we have termly
- Decide which sports we will host, catering to feedback from members
- Keep team members informed with essential information like match times etc
- Input scores into match system
- Allocate members into different sports teams
- Ensure sports events cater to all skill levels and create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Plan how many sports socials to hold each term and offer a variety of activities.
- Work with the Treasurer to ensure all sports events are financially viable.
- Advertise sports events, create event pages, and engage members on social media.
- Organize friendly matches or joint sports events with other societies.
