Position Information
The General Secretary is essential for ensuring smooth communication, organization, and administration. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and great at keeping things running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the main point of contact between committee members, society members, and external organizations
- Assist in keeping members informed and engaged through emails, monthly newsletters etc
- Minutes & Records – Take and distribute minutes during meetings to keep track of important decisions and actions.
- Event & Admin Support – Help organize events, manage memberships, and oversee general society administration.
- Documentation & Compliance – Ensure the society follows any required policies, deadlines, and official procedures. Fill out any required paperwork
- Risk Assessments – Complete necessary safety and risk assessment forms for all social events.
