We are looking for someone who is organised, reliable, communicative and proactive. You should be comfortable keeping track of multiple activities and making sure important details do not get lost as the society grows.
You don't need a technical background. GDSC is a developer and technology community, but many of the skills required to build that community - organisation, communication, leadership and teamwork - extend far beyond coding.
The General Secretary should also understand GDSC's wider purpose: creating an accessible community where students can learn from one another, experiment with technology and turn ideas into real projects and events.
You will not be expected to manage everything yourself. A strong committee works collaboratively, delegates effectively and supports one another when things get busy.
