The role of social secretary is to organise our epic weekly Tuesday socials throughout the year! 🥳

You will work alongside our lovely existing social sec, Maja, to come up with ideas for socials that all members can enjoy.

A good social secretary is:

⭐Sociable and friendly: Do you enjoy meeting new people and getting everyone involved? You’ll need good people skills to help our members feel welcome and make sure everyone has a great time!

📆 Organised: This role involves plenty of admin!! You must have experience in planning, and an eye for detail. Alongside Maja, you'll be responsible for devising ideas for the socials and carrying out organisational tasks. This includes budgeting, contacting venues, and brainstorming ideas for diverse and exciting socials.

🌸 Responsible and reliable: You must turn up to every Tuesday social and help lead them. This means being flexible and able to act and react to the vibe of the social. Being responsive, and ensuring that the evenings are a success.

🪩 Enthusiastic and fun: The most important thing is having lots of energy!!! 

Like all our committee positions, social secretary will also be required to run one trip per term.
However as this role is being elected much later than usual, we would not expect you to run a trip this term!
