The Health and Safety Officer is in charge of filling out the risk assessment forms for the society and ensuring that the society has procedures in place in case of emergency. First Aid training isn’t required for this role; rather, this role is more about ensuring that people know what to do in case of emergency, as opposed to being able to do anything yourself.

Health and Safety also acts as our primary Wellbeing Officer, signposting members in need of help to appropriate locations. Once again, they’re not expected to resolve anything themselves, rather just point people who need it in the right direction to seek help.
