As Treasurer it is your job to make sure that society has the right finances to continue to run smoothly. This means making sure that the society is bringing in as much money as it is spending, as well as ensuring that members receive good value for money. It also means that you will need to prioritise spending, which is a great skill to learn especially as a student! Drama Soc is one of the cheapest memberships within Theatre at Exeter, but with the right organisation you can make that money go a really long way! This is one of the most important roles in the society, but do not worry, you will always have the support of the President to help you if needed, and the Guild provides great easy-to-use spreadsheets for you to follow. There are also lots of opportunities to be creative in this role as you will often be asked for input / opinions on creative decisions during committee meetings, and you may be given tasks too such as writing an article for Drama Soc’s newsletter! This is a brilliant role for anyone who is or wants to work on being organised.
