The role of Social Secretary entails planning both in person and online events, booking venues, organising the winter and summer balls with the rest of committee and welcoming the freshers who are interested in theatre (both drama and non-drama students) to the University. The role itself is really fun, you will make so many connections and friends through openly communicating with everyone. There are two positions available for social secretaries so you can run by yourself or in a pair; though people will vote for you as individuals. You will work closely with the other social secretary but, as a lot of jobs are team based, you will often be working collaboratively with the whole committee.
