Position Information

As a social secretary, you will coordinate events that bring members of the society together and enhance the overall experience. This position is integral to the success of the societies and requires dedication, creativity and strong organisational skills.

Constitutional responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for the effective planning and delivery of events.
  2. Play an active role in finding ideas for engaging socials.
  3. Overseas the organisation and logistics of event management.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Shared responsibility for events: you will collaborate with the president and fellow social secretary to manage and deliver one third of the societies in events, including both large gatherings and smaller informal socials.
  2. Event management: plan an oversea logistics of events, including ticketing marketing equipment, refreshments and necessary permissions.
  3. Member engagement: ensure events are inclusive, engaging and accessible to all society members. Actively seek feedback to improve future events.
  4. Collaboration work with the committee and external partners to deliver high-quality events.
