The Medical Sciences Society invites enthusiastic first year students to apply for the role of social secretary. This is an exciting opportunity to play central role in organising a variety of events to enhance the social experience all members.

Constitution responsibility:

1. Effective planning and delivery of events.
2. Play an active role in finding ideas for engaging socials.
3. Overseas the organisation and logistics of event management.

Key responsibilities:

• Share responsibility for organising one third society events alongside the president and the other social secretary.
• A mix of large scale events and smaller socials.
• Collaborate with other committee members to align events with the societies mission and goals.

What we’re looking for:

• First year students who are eager to get involved in society leadership.
• Approachable and creative individuals with a strong interest in event planning and teamwork.
• The commitment to fostering and inclusive and engaging social environment for all members.

This role is a significant commitment and requires excellent time management, organisational skills, and communication skills. Social secretaries may have to dedicate a substantial amount of time and effort, planning and delivering events, while balancing the responsibility with academic priorities.
