Election Information

Election for the 2023/24 Committee for the University of Exeter Science Fiction and Fantasy Society

Roles being elected:

President:
Pretty self explanatory, you run the society, delegate to the committee, contact the guild, approve financial decisions, run meetings and provide a pair of hands

Vice President:
Very similar to president except more event centric and less financial, also handles stash.

Treasurer:
Handles the society finances, including approving any purchases made on the societies behalf, event budgeting and membership pricing. Also will work as help at events.

Social Secretary:
Runs our social media, helps to organise and run socials and deals with any social issues in the society that may come up.

General Secretary:
Does notes at meetings, checks our emails and any organisation behind the scenes that needs doing, books rooms for events and gets the events approved.

Librarian:
Manages our storage locker in Cornwall house, including our collection of books. This involves documenting them, lending them out, running a book club and anything else book related.

Mascot:
A mainly ceremonial role that entails running events, having a loud voice and overall just being a useful extra pair of hands.

Full details about each role are available on our society constitution.
