The Footlights Welfare Officer is a role that is vital within the society. As Welfare Officer you will have a duty of care towards all members, ensuring that they have a healthy, happy, and manageable experience whilst part of Footlights. It is important for a Welfare Officer to be mature and objective. The Welfare Officer’s role is to be able to recognise when someone needs help from services/helplines outside of the society. The officer must take a proactive role in reminding all members of the services that the university offers regarding wellbeing and support. It is crucial for the Welfare Officer to encourage openness from Footlights’ members.
