Average Time Commitment Per Week
- Average of 3 to 5 hours per week.


Accountabilities
Socials
- Plan weekly or biweekly socials and ensure a range of different socials throughout the year, with a mix of games/chilled socials that include a moderate amount of youthful activities such as drinking/food etc.
- Planning also incorporates risk assessments, booking venues, paying deposits etc.
- Being a regular at Exeter's finest venues (which include Unit Fun) is a key virtue for this role.

Christmas/Spring Balls
- Essentially two big socials with bigger budgets and more scope.
- These need good venues, good administrative skills and lots of wine (in alignment with Guild regulations!).
- With these events being ticketed, the members expect value for the price that they pay.
- Work in conjunction with Treasurer (for budget), General Officer (for administrative support) and student representatives to plan and execute the balls.
- These tasks will also include external engagement such as with Event venues or with Photo Society to obtain Photographers. 

Intramural sport
- Not compulsory to participate in the Intramural sport if sports is not your thing.
- As a Social Secretary, there is always a spot for you in the Supporters Club as you will be expected to show up to our matches and support the ExSIF teams.

Miscellaneous
- Work closely with the Diversity, Inclusion and Welfare Officer on occasion to check that all members are having the appropriate amount of fun at socials, ensuring 0 discrimination within members.
