Position Information

The AGFB Band Director plays a vital role in the day-to-day operations of the AGFB (Anything Goes Funk Band) with the support of the rest of the committee. They ensure that the band is properly represented within the rest of EUJO and uphold its reputation. 
As a leader, the Band Director provides guidance, direction, and inspiration to the band and its members. They plan and lead rehearsals, fostering musical growth, cohesion, and excellence within the ensemble. Moreover, they take charge of planning and organizing performances, ensuring that the band delivers high-quality musical experiences to its audience. 
The Band Director is responsible for selecting music and developing the band's repertoire. They carefully curate a diverse range of musical pieces that showcase the band's talents and cater to the preferences of the audience. Additionally, the Band Director conducts auditions and selects new band members as needed, maintaining the band's skill level and ensemble balance. 
Coordinating with venues and technical staff is another important aspect of the Band Director's role. They work closely with these entities to secure suitable performance venues and ensure the technical requirements for the band's performances are met. 
Overall, the AGFB Band Director holds a leadership position, overseeing the day-to-day management of the band, representing the band within EUJO, providing artistic direction, planning rehearsals and performances, curating the repertoire, and coordinating performances with venues and technical staff.
