As the main representative and leader of the society committee, the president takes on several key responsibilities. They chair meetings, set agendas and diligently record minutes to ensure effective communication and organisation within the committee. Additionally, they provide valuable guidance and support to other committee members, fostering a cohesive and productive team dynamic. 
In their capacity as the society's representative, they actively engage with external organizations, other societies, and the student guild, fostering relationships and seeking collaborative opportunities. This role also entails overseeing the society's overall strategy and direction, ensuring its alignment with the goals and aspirations of its members. 
Furthermore, the individual in this position is responsible for planning the society's involvement in events such as freshers week, working closely with the Musical Director to coordinate engaging taster sessions. They also prioritize regular public performances while actively seeking out opportunities for private functions. 
In addition to these responsibilities, they play a crucial role in planning a tour for the society, collaborating with the committee to ensure its successful execution. Through their leadership and dedication, the individual in this role contributes significantly to the society's growth, development, and overall success.
