Position Information

Committee Oversight: Provide oversight and guidance to BFS committees, ensuring they are aligned with the society's objectives and operating effectively. Support committee chairs in their roles and facilitate communication between committees and the executive team.

Event Coordination: Lead the planning, organization, and execution of BFS events and activities, working closely with the Event Coordinator and other team members. Ensure events are well-coordinated, successful, and aligned with BFS's mission and values.

Membership Engagement: Develop initiatives to engage and retain BFS members, fostering a sense of community and belonging within the society. Seek feedback from members to continuously improve BFS offerings and experiences.

External Relations: Represent BFS in interactions with external stakeholders, including other student organizations, faculty, alumni, companies, and professionals. Build and maintain positive relationships to support BFS's goals and initiatives.

Leadership Development: Identify and nurture leadership potential within BFS, providing mentorship and opportunities for growth to members interested in taking on leadership roles. Encourage participation and involvement in BFS activities.

Administrative Support: Assist the President and Secretary in administrative tasks as needed, including meeting preparation, documentation, and communication with members. Ensure efficient operation of BFS processes and procedures.

 

Approximate hours per week required: 20-25
