Support the President:The Vice President works closely with the president to ensure the smooth operation of the society. Support, offer input, and help implement the president's vision for the organisation.
Leadership: In the absence of the president, the Vice President may assume leadership responsibilities and oversee the day-to-day activities of the society. This includes leading meetings, delegating tasks, and making decisions on behalf of the committee.
Event Coordination:Assist in planning and organising dance performances, classes, social events, and competitions. The Vice President may take the lead on specific events or aspects of event planning as delegated by the president. Stash orders are solely the Vice Presidents responsibility with assistance from the President and Publicity Secretary. Book room slots, organise weekly class times with coaches and liaise with the publicity secretary.
Member Engagement: Help foster a sense of community within the dance society by engaging with members, addressing their concerns, and encouraging participation in society activities.
Communication: Serve as a liaison between the committee and society members, relaying important information, updates, and announcements. They may also assist in maintaining communication channels such as social media platforms.
Committee Oversight: Oversee and support committees or subgroups within the society, ensuring that they are meeting their objectives and deadlines.
Conflict Resolution: Assist in resolving conflicts or disputes that may arise within the society, promoting a positive and inclusive environment for all members.
Represent the Society: Represent the society at university events, meetings, or conferences as needed, and maintain positive relationships with other student organisations, guild, and external stakeholders.
