The Academic Secretaries are responsible for organising the society's academic events. These will primarily be external speakers, internal debates, and internal help classes. The Academic Secretaries will be expected to liaise with lecturers and staff of the three PPE departments in promoting ideas that PPE students have, attracting external speakers to visit, and ensure the smooth running of events. As PPE Society is an academic society, successful academic events are crucial to the success of the society. Academic Secretaries will therefore need to be able to understand what speakers and events will attract attendees.
