The elected Head of Drama will work alongside their co-head to plan, present and produce output for the station’s Drama team.  In the past this has consisted of radio plays, a weekly Drama Show, and a shorter drama ‘series’, although this can be changed. 

A key responsibility for the Heads of Drama is arranging a pre-recorded radio play each term. The edited production is typically 20-30 minutes in length, and will include sourcing a script, auditioning and directing a cast, and editing the recordings. 

The Drama team is responsible for representing the station in the university’s wide range of theatre societies, and the wider scene in the local area. This will usually involve contacting the appropriate company in the lead up to their show week to seek an interview or press opportunity, or discuss the show process afterwards. The heads would also manage the team’s group chat (if desired), and Instagram page.
