AGM 2024 PART 2!!

After some RONs in March, we are re-opening the election for the positions of Vice-president and 3rd year rep. Being part of the committee is a whole lot of fun, is a great opportunity and will also look good on your CV. You will need to create an original and creative manifesto and submit it before the deadline,  and the event page is up on Facebook with more details and examples of manifestos.

Here are the role descriptions:

Vice-President (1)

The Vice-President’s main role is to produce, advertise and sell the Society’s stash that year. This involves conversing with manufacturers to buy the items, deciding on the theme/slogan and organising its sales on the society’s Fixr page. Also in charge of the Society Social Media, this includes contact with the social secs to find out details and making posts to go up on the Instagram. They will also support and provide a second opinion on the President(s)’ decisions, as well as help out with any planning of the Balls and Trip Abroad.

Year Rep (1 for each year)

Year reps will advertise all PhySoc events (Balls, socials, sports competitions, etc..) and plans to members. They will help to organise table plans for the Balls and provide a point of contact for each year’s members to relay any comments or queries from our delightful members to the committee. Year reps will also act as a point of contact for well-being in the society.
