To put it simply, the publicity officer is the social media person. They’re in charge of writing and putting up events for the activities that we’re doing and communicating with members about what’s happening. A good publicity secretary should be creative and attempt to find new ways to improve our existing social media presences, as well as find other means to publicise our society to increase growth. Most of the work for this role will happen over summer, doing the A-Level post, meet the committee post, events and freshers posts, etc, but it does relax after that.
