The gamesmaster has two main roles. Firstly, they are in charge of making sure the socials are as fun as possible by choosing and leading the games every week, as well as running events such as capture the flag. A good gamesmaster should be charismatic, fun and good at speaking to the group.

Their other role is focused on inclusivity and friendliness, to ensure Hide & Seek remains a space where people can come to de-stress without any other worries. They need to ensure everyone, especially newcomers, feel included and comfortable. They are the face of the society and represent us to any newcomers. They should be friendly and welcoming to make sure everybody feels welcome and included as a first priority.

This year we will be electing 2 Gamesmasters instead of a Vice Gamesmaster, but if you are worried about not being ready to be a Gamesmaster dont be. You don't have to know everything right away and you'll be supported by both this year and next year's committee. The two people with this role will have to work closely together and should be able to communicate with each other and the rest of committee effectively.
